CoreFrame™ is the reinforced structural system behind BYD Standard, designed for projects where wind rating, site exposure and structural resilience matter more. Built around upgraded steel members, integrated diagonal bracing and a continuous load path, CoreFrame™ gives BYD Standard the strength profile required for demanding regional, remote and cyclone-prone deployments.

Structural forces are transferred through the steel frame and anchoring points, helping the home perform more predictably in extreme conditions.

Structural certification
Every BYDH home is built to structural drawings certified by a Chartered Professional Engineer against AS/NZS 1170.0, 1170.1 and 1170.2 and the National Construction Code 2022, including Wind Region D cyclonic wind loads.
CoreFrame
BYD Standard is built on the BYD Classic platform, upgraded with BYDH’s CoreFrame — a heavier-gauge structural steel chassis engineered for Wind Region D cyclonic wind loads on highly-exposed coastal sites.
