Wind Region D Model

Introducing
BYDH CoreFrame™

Built around the frame, not bolted to it.

Built around the frame, not bolted to it.

CoreFrame™ is the reinforced structural system behind BYD Standard, designed for projects where wind rating, site exposure and structural resilience matter more. Built around upgraded steel members, integrated diagonal bracing and a continuous load path, CoreFrame™ gives BYD Standard the strength profile required for demanding regional, remote and cyclone-prone deployments.

Continuous load path

Structural forces are transferred through the steel frame and anchoring points, helping the home perform more predictably in extreme conditions.

What’s included

FAQ

Answered.

BYD Standard is designed to support a Class 1A approval pathway, but final approval depends on your site, council, installation method, certifier requirements and project-specific documentation. Final approvals are project, site and installation dependent.

BYD Standard is the BYDH model designed for cyclone-region deployments, with Wind Region D options available subject to project-specific assessment. Wind region, site exposure, foundation design and installation details need to be reviewed for each project.

Wind Region D refers to higher cyclone wind-region requirements under AS/NZS 1170.2, used in parts of Australia where buildings may be exposed to more severe wind conditions. Whether BYD Standard is suitable for a specific site depends on the wind region, terrain, shielding, topography, foundation design and engineering assessment.

For cyclone-region or higher-exposure sites, yes. A wind region or site classification assessment helps confirm the structural, anchoring and installation requirements for the project.

BYD Standard uses the BYDH CoreFrame™ reinforced steel platform and is designed for more demanding sites, including cyclone-region, remote, regional and higher-exposure projects. BYD Classic is the standard residential model for projects where Wind Region D requirements are not needed.

BYD Standard is available across selected 64m² configurations, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom layouts. Available layouts can be reviewed during the pricing and floor plan request.

Yes, BYD Standard may suit staff accommodation, regional housing, secondary dwellings and remote-site deployments, depending on the site, approval pathway and project requirements.

BYD Standard may suit coastal, regional and remote sites, but final suitability depends on exposure, access, corrosion considerations, wind region, foundations and local approval requirements. Project-specific assessment is recommended before proceeding.

Foundation requirements depend on the site, soil conditions, wind region, installation method and project-specific engineering. Your builder, engineer or certifier will confirm the required foundation and anchoring approach.

Yes. BYDH supplies the expandable home unit. Site preparation, foundations, installation, assembly, utility connections, approvals and certification are handled separately by the relevant licensed professionals.

The package includes the expandable home unit, core fit-out, selected finishes, service provisions, delivery and supporting documentation. Installation, approvals, foundations, utility connections, cranage and other site-specific costs are scoped separately.

Submit an enquiry and we’ll send the current pricing, available floor plans and specification snapshot. WA enquiries can also be reviewed for basic site suitability before moving further.
